Our First Hound
Meet Spencer, our first hound who changed our lives forever 🤎
We brought this happy pup into our lives in 2020 and he quickly became a city-dwelling, people-adored, food-vacuuming bundle of joy. Spencer had a special love for getting pats from everyone he met.
When we lost him in December 2023, our world turned upside down. But through our grief, we found a new purpose: to honour Spencer’s memory by sharing the things he loved most with the world.
That’s how Hill & Hound was born.
Stay tuned as we bring you the very best in food and drink for your four-legged family members, inspired by the joy Spencer brought into our lives 🌈
Why 'Hill & Hound'?
The ‘Hill’
- We moved from the city to a place with views of the Yarra Ranges
- Then we moved to another place where the Dandenong Ranges became our backdrop
- Spencer, our happy and adventurous hound, loved exploring those creeks, trails and hills
The ‘Hound’
- Honours Spencer’s breed – the miniature dachshunds, recognised under the hound group by Dogs Australia
‘Hill & Hound’
- Our small business is a tribute to those cherished moments and our love of all things hound
